British Values
The fundamental British Values as defined by the government include:
- Democracy
- The Rule of Law
- Individual Liberty
- Mutual Respect and Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs
These values are outlined under the Prevent duty (ET Foundation).
Implementation: These values are integrated into the curriculum and daily activities to promote a cohesive and inclusive environment. Through classroom discussions, group projects, and events, learners explore and embody these principles.

Rule of Law
Understanding rights and responsibilities, following rules, and maintaining order.

Safeguarding
Definition: Safeguarding ensures the protection of individuals from abuse, harm, and neglect. It involves creating and maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
Policies and Procedures
We have clear safeguarding policies, including reporting mechanisms and designated safeguarding leads. These policies outline how to identify, report, and handle safeguarding concerns.
Training
Staff, students, and volunteers receive regular training to recognize and respond to safeguarding concerns effectively. This training ensures that everyone is aware of the signs of potential harm and how to take appropriate action.
Prevent Duty
Definition: The Prevent duty is part of the UK's counter-terrorism strategy, aiming to prevent individuals from being drawn into terrorism.
Responsibilities
Staff and organizations are responsible for identifying and supporting individuals at risk of radicalization. They must work with local authorities and police where necessary.
